MULTIROOM - AV - AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Skills / Requirements:

• All candidates must have at least 2-3 years experience within the AV/Home  Automation industry.
• Experience in some or all of the following areas: Multi-room Audio Visual Systems, Home Cinema, Home Automation.  
• Ability to be able to install Large TVs and Projector equipment etc.
• Competent  Audio Visual knowledge including connection of audio and video equipment and terminating Cat5/6 sockets and equipment.
• Good fault finding skills to resolve technical issues.
• Good practical skills and an understanding of construction procedures
• Be efficient, hardworking and able to stay calm under pressure.
• Ability to install to a high standard including building and connecting AV racks in a neat and efficient manner including labelling.
• Located geographically in or around the M25.
• Candidate will require a full UK driving license.
• Commitment  to safe working practices and maintaining Health and Safety requirements.
• Must  have ECS card.

Security Project Engineer will be responsible for all supervision and co-ordination of the workforce on site, including ensuring quality of work, liaising with the client, maintaining communication between site personnel and the project management team whilst adhering to current Health and Safety regulations. 

Role Information:

• Installation and commissioning of multi-discipline Security Systems.
• Carry out large-scale Installation and Commissioning Works across a number of construction sites.
• Assisting the project manager in control and execution of projects within contracted timescales.
• To manage the sub-contractors during the installation process and ensuring the completion of works to the highest standards.
• The overall day-to-day supervision of construction sites.
• Working hours 8am - 5pm. Callout 1 in 5, paid standby.

Skills:

• Essential – Basic Networking skills and IP knowledge required
• Essential - Must have planned and supervised Security System Installations as an Installation Supervisor/Project Engineer or any role seen to be equivalent
• Preferred – Commercial/Residential Intruder, CCTV, Access Control, Intercom   experience and training in (most of) the following systems;     
  • Access Control – Paxton, Impro, ACT, Urmet
  • Door Entry - Comelit, Fermax, Btchino, Urmet
  • Intruder - Texecom, Visionic, Pyronix, Gardtec, Scantronic, Menvier, Galaxy
  • CCTV - Hikvison, Samsung, Pelco, Dahua

Personal Requirements:

• You are required to have a clean criminal record and be able to pass a CRB / DBS check and full security screening for the security industry
• You must be prepared to travel to site locations upon request
• You must have excellent  communication skills
• You must be hard working, professional and have a positive attitude
• You must be able to work under pressure, and be flexible and responsive to challenges
• You must be well organised and maintain excellent time management
• You must be able to work independently and/or as part of a team
• You must be self-motivated and technically minded

Essential Training Required:

• You must be a holder of an ECS card
• You must have a full UK Driving  Licence
